Making Mondays suck less since 2022.

What is MNG?

A casual game night every Monday from 9 PM to midnight, Montreal time. Co-op and party games with friends, streamed on Twitch. Missed one? Replays are on the Past Nights page.

How to join

1. Join the Hyperion Discord server: discord.gg/m3c3PJVfz3.
2. When it asks "What brings you to the Hyperion?", pick Monday Night Gaming. That gives you the MNG role, which unlocks voting.
3. Say hi in #general.

How a Monday works

1. The poll opens Sunday morning. Vote on the Weekly Poll page until Monday 6 PM.
2. The winner is announced on this page and in #weekly-poll.
3. At 9 PM, join the voice channel "Game On!" in Discord.
4. We sometimes switch games during the night.

Add game nights to your calendar. It updates by itself, and skipped weeks drop off.

What you need

Discord with a mic, and your own copy of the game. The Games page shows prices and sales, and some games only need the host to own them. Don't own it? Parsec lets someone stream their game so you can play without owning it. We rarely need it now.

House rules

1. Be respectful. No rudeness, discrimination or racism.
2. Keep political talk out of voice chat.
3. Swearing is fine, but it shouldn't turn into a swear fest.
4. Play fair. In every game, including the competitive ones, do whatever it takes to win within the rules. Just use common sense: if you aren't genuinely trying to win, don't spend the round griefing everyone else. Going all out to win is great. Wrecking everyone else's game for no reason isn't.
5. Be a good teammate. Help newer players, share what you know, and keep it fun for the whole group.

If something's bothering you, message Magistrate and/or Simonize on Discord.
